A piece of heritage, thoughtfully shared.
This one-of-a-kind mixed media art piece pairs found cottonwood bark with a hand-formed copper butterfly hand-enameled with color and a real magnolia leaf.
Part of the Heritage Series, the cottonwood bark used in this piece was gathered from trees planted decades ago on Liz’s family farm. Once serving as windbreaks for the home place, the trees are now beginning to naturally break down, offering an opportunity to preserve their story in a new form.
